Paris Hilton: Cry Baby, Lush and Failed Music Star
September 12th, 2006 by Jackie

Princess Hilton’s life isn’t looking so hot right about now. With her new music cd falling quickly into the annuls of ‘overexposed snob makes horrible music’, and a shiny new DUI to put up on her mantle next to her favorite overpriced photo frames, Paris was hit again when she was denied access into the Gramercy Park Hotel bar. Apparently “the likes of” Paris Hilton were just not welcome. Imagine being such an obnoxious person that you aren’t even allowed INTO the bar. Paris didn’t even get a chance to get kicked out.
Now I don’t know why this sort of thing gives me joy, and perhaps it’s nasty of me (well it is nasty of me), perhaps it makes me no better that the self-absorbed Paris Hilton herself, but it does give me some joy to hear that Paris is getting the karmic shaft. The fact is, Paris Hilton has probably single handedly turned an entire generation of little girls into either self-abasing anorexics or stuck-up shallow, spiritually lost soon-to-be-women teens. It’s sad really. It’s a reflection on our society and priorities.
My soapbox aside, it’s amazing that a corporate princess could rise to fame on the haunches of that nasty (and not too entertaining) bedroom video we all saw so long ago.
And the girl is still standing!
The question is: who cares about Paris Hilton? It seems to me that we, the people the media is trying to attract, really despise the woman. We’re sick of looking at Paris Hilton. We don’t want to look at her, hear about her or know about her at all. Something about making a narcissistic, underfed, over-indulged brat is just not appealing.
When is Paris Hilton going to go away?
